Since you have some relevant experience with your past positions and technology , that can replace the education part especially if you're willing to go for an entry level position. There are all types of different accounting positions and they all don't require the same level of education or experience. With luck and a lot of persistence, you should be able to at least get some interviews.

It depends on the province, as they all have different rates.

In Saskatchewan, they would pay income tax of $60,000.

If you are getting $6,000 back on your tax return, you are probably having too much withheld from your paycheck!

It is impossible to say based on the information you have given us, as it depends on your deductions. It also depends on how much you have withheld from your paycheck.

If you owe $10,000 in taxes and have $16,000 withheld, you would get $6,000 in refund. But if you owe $10,000 in taxes and you only have $8,000 withheld, you would end up owing $2,000 to the IRS at April 15th.

They are both the same. Both countries adhere to the IAS standards that ensures the consistency of accounting between different countries. There are of course many differences in tax and what is allowed to be written down, but these also vary with time and change of governments.

If the boss is actually involved in fraudulent accounting, the accountant will most likely cut a deal to testify against the boss and receive a significantly reduced sentence.

Further to Mr.Pachi's answer I wish to put that you have to file income tax return (for A.Y.2007-08).
From next year A.Y.2008-09, you will be getting exemption till Rs,145000/- and there will be no necessity to file Return of Income and pay income tax.
